Juliet Daniels has been a Wyoming resident for most of her adult life and is deeply committed to the individuals and families who call Wyoming home. Her balanced, thoughtful approach to problem solving and working with people is just what Wyoming’s House of Representatives needs during these economically challenging times. The knowledge and skills she brings from her work helping Wyoming citizens makes her the ideal candidate for the House District 42 seat.
Juliet obtained her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business from Colorado State University but her heart is with the University of Wyoming where she received her Master of Science in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis in community economic development. Working with the professors in the Agricultural Economics Department and her subsequent work as an economic developer for the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce gave her a keen understanding of the roles that the agricultural, tourism, and extraction industries play in Wyoming. She fully understands the importance of these industries to Wyoming’s families, as both their livelihood and way of life. Her work with a Federal TRIO program serving low-income/first generation college students further cemented her belief in the importance of education.
Juliet is currently employed with the University of Wyoming Extension as an area Community Development Educator. As a professional educator and trained facilitator, Juliet works with individuals, organizations, and communities to increase their ability to identify and address community concerns. She offers training to nonprofits and governmental entities for their boards and employees, coordinates community leadership programs, and facilitates other community-focused activities.
Juliet is happily married to her husband, Wade, who is a lifelong Wyoming resident. Although they don’t have children of their own, they have received great satisfaction from being certified foster parents for the state and providing a home for teens. In addition to her work with area nonprofits, Juliet is also a member of the Laramie County Library Systems Board and is actively involved with the Cheyenne Rotary After Hours Club and the Cheyenne Dressage & Eventing Club. In 2012 Juliet had the honor of graduating from the Wyoming L.E.A.D program for agricultural leadership development program.
Juliet and her husband moved to Cheyenne in 2004 so he could complete his Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Wade currently works as a pipeline engineer for a Midstream Oil & Gas company. Prior to going back to school Wade was a machinist and mechanic on coal, oil, and gas equipment. Juliet and Wade enjoy exploring Wyoming’s abundance of natural resources through hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and snowmobiling.
Juliet is committed to being a bipartisan legislator for the residents of her district. She recognizes that the constituents in House District 42 have diverse needs, opinions, and beliefs that all need to be considered. As your representative, she will engage in dialogue with people from all sides of an issue to identify areas of mutual interest and solutions that best meet everyone’s needs.
